Dean and Rector
Dean Jensen, originally from Kentucky, became a practicing Christian and Episcopalian at Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington, KY while attending Transylvania University. He served as Rector of Trinity Church in Lawrence, KS from 2002-2009. He was the Sub Dean and Canon at Christ Church Cathedral in New Orleans from 1998-2002. His first position after graduation from the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria in 1996 was to serve as Curate at St. Francis Church in Potomac, MD where he was also the half-time chaplain at the parish’s Pre K-5 day school of 225 students. Fr. Jensen enjoys learning and playing the guitar, reading, walking, golf, and college basketball. He grew up a fan of the University of Kentucky, now also loves Kansas, and has converted to the Razorbacks. He is married to Natalie who is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. The Rev. Canon J. Russell Snapp Ph.D.

Sub-Dean
Canon Russ was born in Newport, Ark., and grew up in Walnut Ridge, Ark. After completing his undergraduate degree in History from the University of the South, he earned a Ph.D. in History from Harvard University. He then spent 13 years teaching history at Davidson College in North Carolina. Following his call to the ordained ministry, he earned an M.Div. from the General Theological Seminary in New York. Early in 2010, he began serving as an Associate Priest at Trinity Cathedral, Little Rock, after parish ministries at Grace Church, Siloam Springs, and St. Paul’s Church, Newport. Canon, Associate Priest
Canon Paul is a native of Monticello, MS and most recently served as Curate (Assisting Priest) of Trinity parish in Lawrence, KS since June 2008 where he and Dean Jensen served together. Paul also served previously as Chaplain Resident at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 1982 and a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts after completing the “Great Books” program at Saint John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2004. He received a Master of Divinity and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Yale University Divinity School and the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale in 2007. His previous careers were as president of a construction company and as chief executive officer of an economic development organization in Mississippi. Canon McLain’s duties include assisting the Dean in all areas of parish life, worship, and ministry especially taking the church out into the community. His interests include reading, playing chess, traveling, and following political and economic news. He is married to Ruthie, a registered member of the Cherokee Nation, who earned a B.A. in American Indian Studies at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence. Mother Susan joined the Trinity Team after she retired as Associate Priest at Christ Church, Little Rock. She is a long-time Little Rock resident. Associate Priest
Stephen is originally from Monroe, LA and attended Louisiana College in Alexandria. He took a break from studies and moved to New Orleans to work in the production industry doing sound, lighting, and video. In 2002 he was graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Religious Studies. He was Director of Youth Ministres at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Dallas,TX from 2002-2007. While at Transfiguration he initiated a young adults program called neXtgen. Both ministries thrived under his leadership. Stephen is a 2010 graduate of the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX. He was ordained a priest here at Trinity Cathedral on May 27th, 2011. Stephen, is married to Mel who has worked and taught in several theater and the performing arts settings. She is currently the costumer for Murray’s Dinner Playhouse here in Little Rock. They have two daughters, Olivia and Emma, who are 7 and 5 and keep them on their toes. Stephen has pastoral oversight of the Cathedral’s Children & Family, Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Canon Precentor
Canon Timothy Allen was born in St. Albans, England and attended St. Alban’s School. While there he studied the organ at St. Alban’s Cathedral with Stephen Darlington. In 1981 he was elected as Organ Scholar at Gonville and Caius College at Cambridge University where he completed his Master’s degree in Music and studied organ with Nicolas Kynaston. In 1986 Timothy was appointed Assistant Master of the Music at Chelmsford Cathedral in Essex, England. He made two commercial recordings and several broadcasts for the BBC with the cathedral choir and his accompaniments were highly acclaimed. In 1991 he was appointed Organist and Master of the Choristers at St. Columb’s Cathedral in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. While there he resuscitated the Men and Boys Choir and, together with his counterpart at Derry ‘s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Donal Doherty, he founded the Two Cathedrals Festival. This major cross-community Festival became Northern Ireland’s premier music event and won several awards for its groundbreaking work. Timothy came to the USA in 2001 and has spent five years working in St. Louis, MO, before his appointment to Trinity Cathedral in October 2006. Timothy is married to the American soprano Christine Westhoff. On 21 November 2006, Mr. Allen was named Canon Precentor of Trinity Cathedral by the Executive Committee of the Diocese. Mary Penick Hodges is a third generation member of Trinity Cathedral Parish. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Hall High School in 1968. She is married to Henry Hodges an attorney in Little Rock. They have two children; Hank, a lieutenant in the Navy, based in San Diego and Acker, a former deputy prosecuting attorney who is married to Chris Bell and has one three year old son, Penick,. They live in Little Rock. Mary attended Queens College in North Carolina and Penland School of Arts and Crafts. She graduated from the U of A-Fayetteville with an art education degree. She worked at St. Mark’s Day School for 17 years and also at The Cathedral School, The Terry Library and UAMS. Mary was a member of the Little Rock Aesthetic Club, The Junior League of Little Rock, is past president of the Mount Holly Cemetery board of directors and has served as Senior Warden of the Cathedral Vestry. Director, Early Childhood Education Program
Kami is originally from Los Alamos, New Mexico, where she first began teaching almost 20 years ago. She came to Arkansas to attend Harding University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development in 1997, and later a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Child Development in 1998. Kami is also a licensed attorney and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen Law School in 2003. She practiced law with Cullen and Company, PLLC for four years before returning to her true vocation in education. Kami has worked with preschool children of all ages, from toddlers through Kindergarten. Here in Arkansas, she has taught at St. Francis House Childcare as a toddler teacher, Sixth and Izard Day School as a pre-k 3 and pre-k 4 teacher, and most recently, Baptist Health Preschool-Little Rock as a pre-k 4 teacher. Under Kami’s leadership, the Early Childhood Education Program has grown from 40 to nearly 90 students. In what little free time she has, Kami is an avid hiker and loves photography. Christian Formation
Dawn Howe, a part-time employee, works with the Christian Formation Programs in the Parish. She acts as support for the children’s education programs including Sunday morning and special events. She also assists on a limited basis with the adult programs. Christian Formation involves the faith development of all individuals from birth to death. She also works with the Christ Child Guild in their ministry to expecting families. Dawn also works closely with the diocesan Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechist training program. Dawn’s other part-time employment involves working with the soybean producers of Arkansas and Texas as the executive director of the Southwest Soybean Council. Dawn has been a member at the Cathedral since 1982. She and her husband Otis have two children, Jessica and Peter. They recently added a daughter-in-law, Sara Kate. Dawn served in many volunteer capacities with the youth and Christian formation programs before joining the staff in 1994. Finance
Trinity Cathedral’s Finance Secretary is Dotti Mansfield, who describes her job as “all bookkeeping and financial functions.” A native of Niagara Falls, NY, Dotti came to Arkansas via Chicago, IL, Grand Rapids, MI, and Corona, CA. Her background includes being the only female credit manager, at the time, in Grand Rapids; Financial Administrator of both church and school for a Roman Catholic parish; Assistant Branch manager in charge of operations for a Savings and Loan in CA; and an Office Manager for two nursing homes in CA.
