Trinity Episcopal Cathedral begins its 2018/2019 Chamber Music in the Cathedral Series with Elgar, Brahms, and Bernstein in a program entitled “Essentially Elgar”, Monday, November 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral, 310 W. 17th Street, Little Rock. Arkansas Symphony Co-concertmaster Kiril Laskarov will play the Violin Sonata in d minor with pianist Scott Carrell of Harding University. Mezzo-soprano Stephanie Smittle, accompanied at the piano by Trinity Cathedral Associate Director of Music Jason Pennington-Saugey, will present Leonard Bernstein’s delicious cycle of recipe songs: La Bonne Cuisine Française. Kiril Laskarov and Jason Pennington-Saugey will close the program with the Sonata for Violin and Piano in e minor of Sir Edward Elgar. Admission is $20, students free with I.D.
