Inside the Cathedral
Members of our congregation possess a wealth of talent and enthusiasm, and opportunities exist for any level of commitment—from one-time projects to regular weekly, monthly, or yearly ministries. We invite you to join with the members of our congregation who seek and serve Christ in others by means of these ministries.
Acolyte Guild
The Acolyte Guild is a committed community of young people and adults who faithfully serve at our Sunday morning eucharists, as well as Church holidays and other special services. This includes serving at the altar, carrying processional crosses, torches, and banners, and lighting candles. New acolytes are trained and commissioned in the early Fall. Youth as young as 6th grade at invited to serve. Acolytes are overseen by a group of adults who are responsible for recruiting, training, and scheduling.
All Saints Guild
This group exercises the ministries of compassion and service by assisting in the planning and conduct of funerals held at Trinity Cathedral. They help establish a climate of welcome and love for those who might not be familiar with Trinity Cathedral or our funeral liturgies.
Altar Guild
The Trinity Cathedral Altar Guild serves an ancient and sacred function by preparing the altar for Holy Communion at each service, to the worship and glory of God. After each service, the altar and credence tables are cleared, vessels and dishes are cleaned, and preparations are made to prepare the church for the next service. Special Altar Guild services may be requested for ordination and diocesan events, weddings, funerals, and other special services throughout the church year. Children’s Formation Leaders
These dedicated volunteers enrich our children's developing relationship with Christ on Sunday mornings using the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Curriculum. Training is provided. ECEP Volunteers
Our Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP) staff can always use extra support rocking babies, reading stories, helping with art projects, office administration, organizing teacher resources, or helping with one of several yearly projects and events. Eucharistic Ministers & Visitors
A Eucharistic Minister is a church member who assists the clergy in administering Communion. Some training is involved, but this is a great way to become more involved at worship on Sundays.
Eucharistic Visitors take the sacrament to members of the congregation who because of illness or infirmity are unable to be at church. Each visitor is sent with a communion kit, provided by the Cathedral, immediately following Eucharist.

EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)
The Episcopal Youth Community is comprised of 6th-12th graders. EYC serves, forms, and empowers youth in their transition between childhood and adulthood. This group meets weekly during the school year to share meals, play games, go on retreats and outings, participate in service work, and grow together in relationships with the church and each other. Flower Guild & Flower Delivery
The Flower Guild is responsible for the adornment of the altars and other worship spaces at Trinity. Many of the men and women of this Guild have completed the training courses at the Washington National Cathedral. The Guild may be contacted to design the altar floral arrangements for weddings, funerals, ordinations, and other special Cathedral events.
Every Monday morning the High Altar Flowers are taken down and arranged into small arrangements to give to those in hospitals, nursing homes, and recovering at home. The flowers serve as a reminder to those receiving them that they are remembered in the prayers offered on Sunday. Anyone is welcome to join us in arranging and delivering flowers.
Intercessors & Lectors
A group of trained lay people who assist the clergy by reading service lessons and leading prayers of the people. Training is required and provided. Interested? Contact Rev. Lisa Corry, at lisa@trinitylittlerock.org.
Lay Weeders Guild
The Lay Weeders Guild helps maintain the grounds of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral by weeding, planting, pruning and other gardening needs. Volunteers always needed.
Office Volunteers
Volunteers are needed during business hours to help with folding and mailing our monthly newsletter, bulletin prep, and occasionally covering the front desk. If you have time and talent for this type of work, please contact Mary Hodges at mhodges@trinitylittlerock.org.
Prayer List
We maintain active prayer lists for anyone in need. The Sunday morning list is kept for critical and urgent requests and is read at Sunday services. The Daily List for those being held in our long term prayers. Please contact us to request an addition to the prayer list.
Vergers
Vergers are lay ministers who assist the clergy in the conduct of worship, especially in the marshaling of processions. The verger uses the "verge" and directs lectors, servers, and clergy throughout the services.
Wedding Guild
The Wedding Guild is responsible for assisting the officiating priest in carrying out the wedding arrangements for a couple in the process of being married. Each couple is assigned a mentor who is available to answer the couple’s questions, give guidance, and to assist with the coordination of other Trinity Guilds and ministries involved in the wedding.
The Wedding Guild members assist the priest with the rehearsal and the wedding. After the wedding the Guild prepares the altar for Sunday service if necessary. Training is provided and new members are always welcome.
Ushers & Greeters
Men and women of the Cathedral who promote hospitality and help with the worship services. If you feel called to this type of work, please reach out to Herschel Cast at casth@yahoo.com.
Duties include: greeting people as they enter, distributing the bulletins, recording service attendance, assisting the elderly and physically challenged, collecting the offering, directing parishioners to the Altar rail for communion, directing foot traffic after the service, and straightening up the pews after services.
