A Conversation with Dr. Cornel West and Dr. Robert George

Join us for our next installment of the Insights Lecture Series, an unmissable morning of deep dialogue and spirited conversation at Trinity Cathedral between two of America’s most prominent public intellectuals. Dr. Robert George, a Roman Catholic and conservative legal scholar, and Dr. Cornel West, is a democratic socialist philosopher in the progressive Christian tradition. Although they come from different ideologies, they have developed a bond that transcends their differences. Together, they stress the importance of civil dialogue. During this program, they will explore together the relationship between the life of the mind and the Christian life. This is a rare opportunity to witness meaningful conversation between longtime friends across ideological divides. This program is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.  Dr. West and Dr. George will also appear together as part of the Clinton Library’s Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture, on Saturday, January 31 at 3 p.m. Their Saturday program is entitled "Truth Matters: What Unites Us Despite Our Differences."
