Mathew 25 Committee - Living the Gospel

From wrapping up our tree planting season, to providing a needed delivery service, to caring for our brothers and sisters in need, July 2026, has been a busy month for the Matthew 25 committee.
Due to the summer heat, the reforestation tree planting project is on hiatus until winter when tree planting will resume. The tornado ravaged neighborhoods have received over 300 large trees and there are still funds to help a few more households. If you would like to donate money or give a memorial tree please let someone on the Matthew 25 team or Trinity staff know.
On July 2nd, the women of Dorcas House came to Trinity for a night of pampering at the Spa Night. Festive decorations in Morrison Hall let them know they were in for something special. The women were treated to great food, massages, facials, hair styling ,and customized hat making. Everyone felt the warmth and the transformations were spectacular. Friendships were established and genuine love for one another was shared.
Mid-month, we picked up a truckload of food from the Arkansas Foodbank and delivered it to Saint Francis House for distribution to their clients. Donations of household items were delivered to the Phoenix House for women in substance rehabilitation and reentry from prison. Gaines house received donations of furniture and household items.
Donations of water bottles continue to be delivered to Saint Francis House. These bottles are given to their clients who must wait under a shelter awning to prior to entering for commodities and social services, and can be filled at an outdoor bottle refilling station Trinity helped fund. The first large Trinity donation arrived the day after St. Francis house ran out of bottles to hand out and were put into immediate use – perfect timing.
On July 23rd Morrison Hall was transformed into a patriotic celebration site. After a welcome and opening prayer from Rev. Peggy Cromwell, thirty-eight veterans, residents at Saint Francis House, were treated to a dinner of barbecue and bagpipe music. It was a full team effort by the people who worked to make the night special. Everyone pitched in to make it a night the veterans won’t forget. from the leadership of Matthew 25 members Ellon, Felton, Sandra, Brooks, Christy, Kay, and Mary to the large team of parishioners who volunteered to serve. We even had our own version of Loaves and Fishes when Ken McRae disappeared and then reappeared with more food from Simms – "Buns and Barbecue" became the modern version of the story. The interaction and visiting with our guests was a show of the warmth and hospitality for which Trinity is famous.
