Special Thanks from the McLains
September 04, 2015

Dear Friends,
We can't thank you enough for the lavish love offering, the over-the-top festive reception, and the moving video. Ruthie and I were overwhelmed by your generosity and your outpouring of love and good wishes. There will always be a special place in our hearts for Trinity Cathedral. We wish you much joy as you prepare for the coming of a new Dean and the next chapter in Trinity's long and storied ministry. May God bless you in the exciting days ahead!
Love, Paul + Ruthie McLain

New Banners
July 31, 2015
On Pentecost Sunday, we dedicated a set of 14 processional banners, a gift from Charliss Russ. There is a brochure available on the back tables in the church that provides information on the meaning of the holy day/season the banner represents, as well as information on where in the church the inspiration for the banner designs can be found.
We are using our new banner for the Season after Pentecost.

Religious Freedom: Deepening the Conversation
Note from Dr. Keller: Both in our state and nationwide, this Spring the scope and limits of religious freedom have been a topic of much political discussion. As a priest, I’ve not been afraid of controversy, but I found myself wary of this one—concerned and perplexed. Many friends were strongly committed to one side—by overwhelming vote, our Diocesan Convention opposed a piece of legislation (House Bill 1228) that purported to protect religious freedom. I abstained, as the topic seemed to me to involve a set of very important, complex questions.
