Kindling the Flame: A Self-Care Workshop for Seekers, Professional Caregivers, Healers and Hope Givers

Presenter: Jane Wolfe, director of Bog Chapel, Inc.

This workshop is designed to help you better care for yourself while you help others. In other words, burn-out is common for those in the care-giving professions. While you build resiliency in others, as a healer or caregiver, you often struggle to maintain resiliency for yourself. Kindling the Flame is your opportunity to rest, rejuvenate, and build new resiliency within yourself - not just for today, but for the long-term.

An Invitation from the Kellers

May 18, 2016

Dear People of Trinity Cathedral,

Julie and I are delighted to announce that on Saturday, June 4, at 5:00 o’clock, our son Christoph will marry Laura Porter, of Hamburg, Arkansas in the Cathedral.

In planning the wedding, we have had two customs in mind. We inherit, first, a custom that a bride and her family are expected to assume the larger share of financial responsibility for a wedding and reception. In my clergy family there is, second, a custom that when the child of a rector gets married in the church, the entire parish is invited. I grew up on that one.

Help Place Flags at Mount Holly this Sunday!

May 17, 2016

On Sunday, May 29 at 12:30, Trinity will participate in placing flag on graves at Mount Holly Cemetery.  There are almost 500 veterans from the Revolutionary War through the first Iraqi war.  Each year volunteer groups place small American flags on the graves on the Sunday before Memorial Day.  These flags stay in place through July 4.  This activity is a great way for all of us to honor our veterans and it doesn't take much time.

If you would like to participate, please email or talk to Annie Burton at annie@trinitylittlerock.org, or just show up at Mount Holly at 12:30 on Sunday and look for Elsa Crocker!

We will have a picnic together following the flag placement, so bring your lunch! Flag placement should only take about 30 minutes.
